About The Role


You will be joining one of the essential technology teams at Bank of Queensland as a Cloud Engineer. BOQ is currently enjoying a rapid period growth due to large scale funding to make BOQ the digital bank of the future with a personal touch. We are currently running a large scale technology transformation which includes technology uplifts across the business in core banking, payments and on our digital platforms which involve major Azure cloud projects. With the latest announcement of a strategic partnership with Microsoft there has never been a better time to be joining the BOQ Group.

This role focuses on the key capabilities to build out our Cloud Platform and enable business solutions to deploy rapidly into our Cloud. This role will work alongside projects to plan out and implement the technical Cloud Infrastructure foundations for the project, and work to enable business outcomes via project delivery.

It will be a hands on technical role, where we leverage agile principles and engineering best practices to ensure we can deliver rapidly, effectively and scalably via automation and pipelines, and help build out our library of Azure patterns and resources to ensure consistency and repeatability in our Cloud landscape.

 


About You


  • 5+ Years in a similar role.
  • Expertise in Azure, and familiarity with key PAAS capabilities in use across the banking sector.
  • Automation background, to ensure that we are building and deploying consistently via Bicep in IT Infrastructure services.
  • Familiarity with Networks, Firewalls in a Cloud based environment.
  • Proficiency in using CI/CD tools and container services such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • DevSecOps background is highly valued, in ensuring we can build and operate our cloud infrastructure securely.
  • Role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
